Detailing and Working Drawings - Observation Sketch

For this week task, we are given from our lecturer to go for a site visit and explore on type of different furniture and produce observation sketches of a table, a chair and a cabinet with different kind of the materials. Those selected furniture are based on different type of materials to ensure we could able to understand more on the joinery details and features.Due to transportation problems, I chose Sunway ,my working place and my house furniture as my site visit as I am able to reach.

Detailing And Working Drawings - Detailed Specification (Furniture)

During this lecture, we are taught about how to write a proper detail specification. 
It define as - specifications, a detailed, exact statement of particulars, especially a statement prescribing materials,dimensions, and quality of work for something to be built, installed, or manufactured. 

It is very important as in part of interior design element as in to increase the over all design quality.

And so , semester 3 comes. For our first assignment, we are required to sketch our drafting table on our first page to test our sketching skill. Not only that, we were required to design our own book cover.

As I chose triangle is basically because of the triangle, no matter how people want to draw it in isolated or in-isolate, it still turns out the triangle shape in the end. Same goes to interior design or architecture, houses still houses. 

On the left side, the triangle formed kind of messy look. It is actually a feel of noisy. 

Designer struggle a lot to only get an idea where the idea is only 0.01% will be working. Slowly, follow those triangles, it formed the right side triangle shape. It's built by all those uneven size triangles (ideas).  

Shown here that, it is not an easy task to make something work or successful in a design firm. 

FINAL PRESENTATION - HIP-NIZME IDIOSYNRATIC [ F ]

Finally , I have come to the end of this course. HOREYYYYYY ! For this final project , as what i have done in my previous assignment are all based on hip-hop by so, same goes to this final . While we have not totally start for this project , we are required to run through lottery for select which style or type of design that we are going to design base on . As for this happen are basically main for us to know how is the future looks like while we are dealing with our client. Okay , done for that . I have gotten FUTURISTIC for my retail shop style. Which mean the music genre I got is Hip-hop and shop design based on futuristic as for what our final project required . 

The time frame for this final project is about 2 months , before the final review comes , we have gotten several times to tutorials with our lecturer . We did done it in both formal and informal ways, which are in class and through Whatapps . Through whatapps is not because of we are lazy to go for class , it is because of we could have extra time of tutorial for this projects which we know that it is not an easy task . We have to design or upgrade our design until it finally got approved by out lecturer. 

And, for this final , we are required to 

- design a retail shop related to our music genre and style we gotten. 

- present it by 6 pieces of A2 presentation board.

My retail shop name as HIP-NIZME IDIOSYNRATIC [ F ]. HIP-NIZME means to hip-hop's people/ or gangs. IDIOSYNCRATIC means to uniquely. [ F ] means to Future.

HIP by LYRICS , HOP by BEATS

Hip hop music called as hip-hop or rap music, is a music genre consisting of a stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping, a rhythmic and rhyming speech that is chanted. It developed as part of hip hop culture, a subculture defined by four key stylistic elements: MCing/rapping, DJing/scratching, break dancing, and graffiti writing.Other elements include sampling, and beatboxing.

Everybody have different preference on hip hop music. Some might be dancing with it or else some might be raping along with the music. They often go with the beats no matter it is slow or some may be up beat. By listening to the song itself, it contain the ability of affecting our emotion, intellect and psychology behaviour.

Hip by the Lyrics , Hop by the Beats. (Hip = knowledge = lyrics, Hop = movement = beats) Hip hop is one of the well know music genre which sea not count on gender, but if based on designing a booth it does be one of the main reason to look into it. This is because, no not would wants to share together with people who ones not even know to. Therefore, based on gender, I have designed a booth which is separated space and each space are for male or a female.

"BREAK"DANCE NOT RULES,
which mean hiphop-er BREAK dancing and not BREAKING any rules.

Hiphop are wild, and the dancing , raping or others are free to do and move. There is something about "No limitation yet has its own limit" as well. -- DILEMMA. 

Hiphop are same to everyone as how everyone known. It doesn't count age or skin colour. No matter how old you are , you are still allowed to join hiphop. Same goes to skin colour. Hip hop spread all over the world. There is no rules such as Asian can't rap ; Asian can't breakdancing.
Hip hop = Life
Hip hop = Soul
Even if you still alive or death,
you are allowed to hiphop.

 First , I thought of using foam board , but I couldn't cut it nicely ...

INFORGRAPHIC BOARD

An inforgraphic board (information graphic present board) is a representation board of information in a graphic format. It is designed to make the data easily understandable at a glance. People often use inforgraphics board to quickly communicate a message or send an idea to audiences. Inforgraphics board abound in almost any public environment -- traffic signs, subway maps, tag clouds, musical scores, weather charts and so on. The graphic could makes audiences’ mood change better or some may having a little body interaction for understanding or brainstorming to a minute of stress killer.

For our first class of IDP (Introduce of Interior Design Projection) class on semester 2, we started off with an assignment which related with inforgraphic board. This assignment is based on research on music genre. We were divided through lucky draw for our own topic and own groups. Our lecture sis this all by letting us to understand the basic idea while dealing with our own client in future which we are not allowed to choose our teammates even for topics. I have gotten “HIPHOP” for my topic and my group members are Olivia, Celine, Nadia, Zhi Ying and myself.  

After we settled down, we were discuss about which components are related and divide task to each one then we start off our own research for our part. I have chosen culture for my part. During the process, we were have meeting around 3-4 times and we had a whatspps group for update our own progress to our group members.
